Anne Hathaway Uses English Accent For New Movie "One Day"

Anne Hathaway the "Dark Knight Rises" actress takes on an English accent and a well-loved story for her new movie, "One Day",  which also stars Jim Sturgess. The best-selling book follows the two characters  friendship over the years.  She said she deliberately changed her accent Throughout the shooting of the film.

The 28 year old actress, who portrays Emma Morley in the new movie, explained that she wanted her dialect to alter over the course of the film to portray the fact that her character had moved from Yorkshire, in North  England, to London in the south.

To Quote Anne Hathaway:  "I wanted to make sure that the accent changed over the course of the movie, and that it wasn't just a standard Yorkshire, I don't know if that even exists, or a standard London accent. I wanted to make sure that the accent grew with her. How it was affected by her education, by where she was working, who she was hanging out with. So having the book as my guide to answer a lot of those questions was enormously helpful."

Rose McGowan Asks for $5 Million To Shave Eyebrows

In the shadows of all the blood and guts involved in a remake of a movie first made popular by our former Govener of California, Arnold Swartzenager, you'll find Rose McGowan with a starring role in "Conan the Barbarian." The curvaceous actress was asked to shave her eyebrows for the part of an evil sorceress. She said she would... for $5 million. The studio used makeup instead.

When asked by producers to remove her brows and shave back her hairline to play evil sorceress Marique in the new movie, the 37-year-old actress  insisted she wouldn't do it unless the price was right. The studio turned down that request, instead forcing the actress to spend several hours at a time in a make-up chair getting ready for the role, which included combing back her hair and wearing a prosthetic piece that went over her highbrows and back to the middle of her head.
She reportedly told 'Access Hollywood' that "I sat from about two in the morning till around 7.30 in the morning."

Chupacabra Caught With Leftover Chinese Food

What is the Chupacabra.  Is it  a myth?  Is it a legend?  What is known is that it strikes in the night and has a weakness for blood.  There have been reports in Mexico of boarder immigrants, near the Texas boarder, found dead their lifeless bodies drained of blood and untouched except for three holes on their neck.  Sometimes referred to as Puerto Rico's version of the Yeti, the infamous Chupacabra has been trapped in the following video with chicken and leftover Chinese food.  Check out this video from YAHOO! Kim Kardashian weight anxiety

Did Kim Kardashian win the lottery in her family gene pool?  Most would say yes and I'm inclined to agree.  While possessing other fine attributes none of her other siblings can match the racy curves with uniquely classy beauty. But is this enough?

Even with all that going for her the soon-to-be Mrs. Kris Humphries, whose Vera Wang gown earned compliments from Tyra Banks, might be just as concerned about fitting into her dress as the next bride. Kardashian has reportedly enlisted the aid of two star trainers to cut fat and sugar from her diet trying to achieve a slimmer silhouette.  Well, of course, she is only human.  Kardashian's focus on how she'll look on her wedding day may be a sign of  pre-wedding weight anxiety affecting far too many women, regardless of body type.

Economy in desperate need of small business

Getting great service is rare in an economy in desperate need of small business.  I just got an oil change at a local tire center ( Boulevard Tire Center ) and have to say I''m very happy with the service I got.  A strong contrast to another local tire chain whom I won't name directly but has "kingdom" in the name.  Today I was in and out in less than 1/2 an hour, they charged what they said they would , which was a great deal for semi-synthetic oil, and also rotated the tires for free although that was in the agreement when I bought the tires there.  The most important part of the experience was no hassle.  The man at the counter was friendly and I was not given a sales speil or forced to listen to what may or may not be wrong with my car and/or why I should spend extra money I did not plan on spending today.

Of course not all large business chains are bad.  We need these businesses.  But small business is the American Dream.  At the other place I was sold a plan for front end alignment, which was forced on me in order to get the buy 3 get 1 free deal, and ended up not being a deal at all.  Upon returning, to the other place, my tires were rotated but they refused to do the alignment because I was told that "the tie rods needed to be replaced or the alighnment would not stay", even though I had already paid for it and I was in the waiting room for for over one and a half hours just for tire rotation.   I strongly recomend Boulevard Tire Center ( and businesses alike) as small businesses are closing and we need these businesses in a nation of uncaring large business chains.

Chris Johnson Holdout Will Continue

The deadline for players under contract to report to their football clubs in order to earn an accrued season toward free agency.  In other words one year closer to a new contract possibly with another team, but that does not seem to matter to one of the NFL's top young running backs, Chris Johnson.  The holdout continues.

Johnson did not report Tuesday, which makes 12 days Johnson has not reported to training camp.  Right now a lot of Fantasy Football team owners are crossing their fingers.  In a  league lacking "every down" running backs Chris Johnson can be considered one of the top five and a first round pick for most fantasy teams hopping to pull in a trophy and bragging rights.

Johnson has two years left on his contract with the Tennessee Titans, but wants to secure a more lucrative long-term deal.  Johnson had said by the end of 2010 that he wanted a new deal worth $30 million guaranteed and the Titans responded by boosting up his $1.5 million to $2.05 million. Apparently Johnson thinks he should earn a lot more and the Titans are willing to talk with Chris but want him to report before before those talks can begin.

Johnson can be fined up to $30,000 a day for each day of camp missed.  After his first three seasons of history making running (Johnson became only the 6th man to run for at least 2,000 yards in the NFL in one season) he wants to be rewarded for his production.  He also ran for 2,006 yards in 2009, and was the first to rack up 2,500 yards with 500 yards receiving.

Johnson's follow up to that milestone was a not so shabby 1,364 yard season in 2010, despite finishing the season with a bruised thigh. Drafted out of East Carolina in 2008 (24th overall) he has started 46 of the 47 games played.  He has 4,598 career yards, averaging 5 yards per carry, and also has 1,008 yards receiving.  He is the only remaining hold out for the Titans in this nearly locked out beginning of NFL season 2011.

Jani Lane, the former lead singer of Warrant, dies at 47.  The news first broke by TMZ.  His body was found at the Comfort Inn Hotel in Woodland Hills, Calif. No cause of death has been determined.

Are Bert and Ernie getting married ?

"Are Bert and Ernie getting married?" has been a topic or "hot button" for the past couple of weeks.
Today, "Sesame Street" actually commented on the "topic" and provided a definitive answer to the votes for the duo to come out of the closet stating that it doesn't matter whether they should or not, they ain't gonna. They are just puppets you know.
Bert and Ernie are two roommates on the popular children's TV show Sesame Street. The two appear together several skits for laughs in an educational format.
This reminds me of a Family Guy episode where the two puppets are portrayed as gay while sleeping in the same bed making Bert out to be the dominant.  http://dumpalink.com/videos/Family-Guy-Bert-amp;-Ernie-797a.html  Of course all for laughs in an noneducational, adult, format.  Any opinions on this subject?

Close to Home

So far away; No ones home

Absence makes one's mind roam,

Through the fields of jumbled thought,

In one place one's mind will rot,

A sea of flowers nestled low,

In a valley deep below,

Seldom seen our thoughts lie here,

A sanctuary far from here,

And Close to Home.

Leafless Trees

Leafless Trees Blowing in the Wind,

Shedding Their Lifeless Color Onto Fields of Grey,

Colorless Blue Surrounds What is Left of a Drab and Dreary Sky,

To Them They See What Really Isn't There,

Awaiting What is Left of a Shameless Night.
